摘要
Viruses belonging to the newly defined Hantavirus genus in the family Bunyaviridae possess a segmented (tripartite), single-stranded RNA genome of negative polarity. Each RNA segment has a conserved 3′ terminal nucleotide sequence (3′AUCAUCAUCUG), which differs from the consensus sequences reported for the four established genera of Bunyaviridae [1]. These viruses cause hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) or muroid virus nephropathy, an acute interstitial nephropathy that varies greatly in clinical severity. The severe form of disease, caused by Hantaan virus, the prototype virus of HFRS, is characterized by high fever, renal failure, and varying Suffix of hemorrhage [2]. A milder form of disease, typically without hemorrhage, called nephropathia epidemica, is caused by Puumala virus. Though occasionally severe, infections caused by strains of Seoul virus isolated from peridomestic rats in urban centers of Far Eastern Asia, are usually mild, simulating a flu-like illness with pyrexia, myalgia, flank pain, headache, and proteinuria, with minimal or no hemorrhagic manifestations.
