摘要
The relatedness of some strains of purple nonsulfur bacteria has been studied by DNA-DNA hybridization. Values of 30–100% homology were found between strains of the same species. Strains of different species exhibited 7–18% homology. The genomic relatedness of the group of halophilic strains studied indicates that they merit separate species status.
