摘要
Circadian rhythms are daily oscillations in physiology, metabolism, or behavior that persist in organisms that have been isolated from periodic fluctuations in the environment. Evidence gained in the past several decades has demonstrated that these rhythms are under the control of innate regulatory systems that are based on endogenous, self-sustaining oscillators (or pacemakers) whose periods approximate those of the naturally occurring 24-hour environmental cycles.
