摘要
Previous research has raised questions about the motivations of building managements for seeking the United States Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. LEED assigns credits to buildings for performance on various environmental metrics such as energy efficiency or use of renewable materials. Mallory Flowers from Erasmus University in the Netherlands and colleagues from the United States show that energy cost savings may be the dominant reason for earning and upgrading certification in many cases
